Merge without uploading — reorder locally
Merge PDFs without uploading: select files, reorder with drag-and-drop, and we stitch them with pdf-lib in your browser. Zero file requests in DevTools — compare to "merge in cloud" where your board pack sits on a server for an hour. Local merge keeps interleaved page order, bookmarks at stitch points, and never leaks the combined deck to a third party.
After first load, merge offline — cached WASM handles the stitch. For bundling contracts, invoices, or application packs where page order matters and upload is overkill, local is faster and more private. Close the tab and only the download remains.
Combine for email, bundles, and theses
Email: Mail caps (25 MB) punish multiple attachments — one merged PDF previews inline. Bundles: Client packs, tenancy sets, or diligence binders stay in page order you set, without a cloud queue. Thesis: Stitch chapters locally before compressing to 1 MB for submission portals.
Tip: Merge first, then compress without uploading to hit a portal's size cap — both steps stay local. If you need to split later, split without uploading on the same architecture.
Privacy check — combined decks stay local
DevTools Network stays 0 for files — we read each PDF via ArrayBuffer and stitch with pdf-lib without a POST. For diligence binders that combine 12 source PDFs into one, that means 12 documents never leave your device to become one merged file in a cloud bucket. Compress after if you need to 1 MB for portals: compress without uploading next — both steps stay offline after first load.
Billed for large bundles? A diligence set of 12 PDFs at 8 MB each hits email caps fast. Merge locally to one 40 MB, then compress locally to 4 MB for the portal — two local steps, one download, zero uploads. For comparison, cloud merge would upload 96 MB total to become one file you download again. Local merge keeps interleaved page order, bookmarks at stitch points, and never leaks the combined deck to a third party.
Works offline after first load — the WASM stitcher is cached, so airport Wi-Fi is not needed to combine sensitive decks.
